Truth infiltrates us. If we let it. If when we catch a piece of it, we smile and allow it to pass.
Our mind, our cognitive knowing is not its primary entry way. Truth comes from the ground up. Our beings must absorb it; then we might find ourselves living it, knowing it.
We try desperately; we cannot shove truth into ourselves through logic or brain. Not without our body. Not without our being. That’s where our magic is after all. Our roots and memories of all we have been. Our connection to our greatest power, Earth.
Our minds matter; they are magic too. But we misunderstand them. We think we are them. We place body and Earth in service to them. Foolish. Minds alone can make us foolish. Let your body know better than you. Let it speak and learn. Over years.
You want answers now. You want fixes and power now. You should count yourself lucky if you have any such rewards in ten years.
So count. What if in ten years your marriage wasn’t breaking with resentments collected today. What if in five years your breaths were deeper and your center clearer. What if in two years your words were kinder. What if you grew. With time. All in due time.
Slow down. Trees communicate information root to tip incredibly slowly, we wouldn’t even notice the sugars movement if we could see it. Be a tree. Open today to deeper truth, to a new layer. Smile at the glimpses you catch. Let them go. Maybe you will see them again, next week or month or year. They are working, give them time. Breath. Let yourself sink. Be in your being. No reaching outside – for blame or answers or distractions. Breath.
That wound, the one that cripples you, wouldn’t it be marvelous to look back in ten years and see it is healing nicely. You may have many years, decade in this being, as your current being, as you. That is a long time.
Look around. We, humanity, demands better now. Are we progressing? Think of those you know well – parents, spouses, friends – have they changed much, enriched and bettered? In some ways, small ways, big ways, no? If they have, how long has their growth taken?
We hold life and death within us. All beings do, we must. We get a turn, a try at life. It isn’t ours. If we don’t get in our own way, we don’t feed the destruction in us, glorify it, cling to it, life does good work. Life grows and learns and enriches. It is its deepest nature. To want to live and to want to live well. Let it work. Let your being be open so you may release.
Heal slowly, my reader, and I will be overjoyed for you.
